Osborn NZ

Privacy Policy

Because whanau.osborn.nz requires users to login, and does this using external service providers (e.g. Google), I need to have a Privacy Policy to inform you of your rights under law. I probably don't strictly need this, because I'm not running an actual business service here and this is just for family, but the external companies like Google are much happier seeing one, and it's not a bad idea.

Te Mana Mātāpono Matatapu - the NZ Privacy Commissioner - has a handy Policy generator at https://www.privacy.org.nz/further-resources/privacy-statement-generator/

This has produced a Policy for us here ... :-

I collect personal information from you, including information about your:
	* name
	* contact information
	* computer or network source IP address
I collect your personal information in order to:
	* provide access only to known and authorised people
If you choose not to share your email address and name, I'll not be able to allow access to the website.
You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information I hold about you, and to ask for it to
be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you'd like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have
it corrected, please contact me at jim.cheetham@gmail.com.
